I think I will use this design, to my own specs, in the near future.My brother has a MONSTER lathe.
Today we started work on a 3" metal piston valve, 2"porting, inside the Tee
I got to see this lathe opens up mayor possibilities.It is more professional than some companies have!He spent an absolute fortune on it!
We use it for an invention that is spudgunrelated.
Anyway, I can build just about anything now, and I would like to try various full auto valves...This one seems promising.

I like this design. Very simple, and very clean, no electronics that need to be fiddled with.
By the way, the guy on the first page who mentioned the modified Brass Eagle marker was referring to Unconventional Airsoft (now defunct).

Oh, haha. I didn't use a hyphen, and the page I got said the domain name had expired, and I didn't see your post. My bad.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Hence my post on page 2 of this threadBy the way, the guy on the first page who mentioned the modified Brass Eagle marker was referring to Unconventional Airsoft (now defunct).

@brian
damn man I so yealous now haha, bc the solution with this valve is a good lathe yeah. I hope I have enough time and patience to build this prototype as I have full confidence in it. As I knew it was ganna take a while for me to get started I posted my ideas (as though they arent 100% original:)). but yeah thnx for the confirmation that this design is promising.
@seaking
Yeah I think this is the way of getting a fullauto without too many parts etc as you said. Once it works we can always add in a electric trigger with a solenoid replacing the sear".
btw does anybody have an idea of making the breech/hammer part without using a lathe nor epoxy?

Ant you can make you own lathe out of a drill, if you glue alot if pipes together so it is like on massive rod. Then put a bolt in the smallest pipe, make sure it tight with a nut. Then connect the bolt that's through the center of you "MEGA ROD", put the drill on full speed and then hit it with a vice or saw. You can ask auxilaity for pictures of this setup, he has experiance with it .

Also, I think a good way to get a semi auto gun would be to build on the successes of the EGG, and work out it's flaws. For example, it would be very simple to modify the design to include a regulator to achieve more consistent shots. Second, we could probably build a more effective and less recoil-prone valve to run it off of.

@ seaking
Sorry I dont mean what u mean by EGG (k the thing that chicken lay:))
Oh wait I guess u are talking about the converted pump action paintball gun... jaja> lower spring tension> as we need less air etc ja k
Well the problem is that I have to import these guns and they dont come cheap:)

That sucks. Maybe you can find a local alternative.

hey ant, im extremely interested in building your valve design, but i've got a few questions before i can start: can your valve be built from parts bought at the hardware store or are the parts specially made? and how many shots can u get out of one tank of air? thanks
Ant never build this valve, I assume he can't tell you how much shot you're getting out of that valve. Also you need to know what kind of pressure you're using, also the chamber size is important. If you just search gor yourself you would know if the parts are available in your local hardware store. Just read the whole topic!!! @Tom, cmn maan take it easy this guy is new here! I serious dont like the search feature on this forum, and reading through all the pages...cmnthespicybaconator wrote:hey ant, im extremely interested in building your valve design, but i've got a few questions before i can start: can your valve be built from parts bought at the hardware store or are the parts specially made? and how many shots can u get out of one tank of air? thanks
@baconator, thnx. I didnt come up with this valve design, rather I adapted it so you can make it with easy materials like I used on my other guns(copper, alu pipes) bought it local hardware shops. Check this post of mine for efficiency on a similar valve but which has to be recock manually: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/speed-e ... 14330.html i got 95 shots at 7.5bar using a 0.5L coke bottle. So I am expecting at least 30 shots on a similar bottle setup. The problem is that it has to cycle at different pressure ranges. I dont know if you have experience with paintball guns>(like tippmanns) when they are low on air the sear tends not to catch and it seems like the gun goes out. But it actually doesnt reset anymore.
I am in the procces of building this gun, if you are new to this then I would recommend these: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-2-ver ... 12712.html or > my latest gunhttp://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-4-bb- ... 12216.html
for internals that I generally use check this stacked tube gun I made: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-3-sta ... 12220.html
@ant, did you already made one thing with that "professional" lathe? I just made a &*#(&$#( bad ass piston . I was wondering what kind of O-rings you use, are they just from the "Praxis" ore are they special purchased? The problem is that mine o-ring wont seal .
