Measuring Muzzle Velocity in Airsoft

Hey guys,

I was thinking of an idea of how to measure the the muzzle velocity in BBMG's and airsoft in general. Most of us here do not have equipment to measure muzzle velocity like in the video below...

So I was thinking of a way to measure muzzle velocities through paper or a can of coke. Like for example, the can of coke idea is from redwolf airsoft (I can't find it anymore) where if your gun can shoot through one side of the can that was 250fps using .2g bbs. But what about paper, how do we measure the muzzle velocity using the layers of paper used in one shot of a bead or bb?. Any rough ideas and opinions?

The thickness and type of paper would vary too much.
Why not just use the cans?

I should think that you need a chrony to begin with just to get a reference point to start at. Say for instance, you would need to know the fps required to pierce one piece of paper with a .2g BB.

Unless you specify an exact type of branded paper there will be too much between types of paper for decently accurate results.

Just use like lets say for example, normal printing paper. i guess...
