I know you meant diameter. And no offense, but from the enginuity you showed when building your combustion i would say the project your speaking of is a little to advanced for you.

I know someone had already posted this link but i believe something similar would be more suitable for you at this point.

i doubt that shoots very far, my balloon gun probably even stronger altho no auto

would a bigger tank improve shots? cause i doubt that mini gun will do much

i want it to at least go through a box

300 fps? or am i asking for too much

Try this design, You can still use your ABS, all you will need is ABS, Cleanout cap, endcap, barrel, and blowgun, Or you could try my design that iistemuffin posted a link to.

so exactly how much do i pump into my tank, i will just try the abs for now and see if it blows up

and usually depending on how big my tank is and how much i pump, how long does it last for

It shouldn't blow up by the way, it will just split open, unlike PVC.

For your second question, at 100psi probably 4-5 seconds, if that. And most of it will be at pressures below 60psi.

Get an air compressor or regulated CO2, making a chamber that small never works well. My 5 gallon air compressor only last about 10 seconds regulating at 70psi.

wel its not that small its 3inches wide, its the combustion chamber i used for my potato gun

and why wouldn't my bike pump work? it'll just continuously pump air into the tank, which will probably burst unless i rapidly continue firing

**WAIT WAIT WAIT is an air compressor the thing used for a nail gun, IF SO MY DAD HAS ONE OMG OMG

How long is it? Have fun pumping that up with a bike pump too, it will take awhile if it's anything longer then a foot.

It will either take a long time to pump up but get a longer burst, or a short time but a short burst from the cloud.

I never said your bike pump wouldn't work. Are you talking about one of those 250PSI 12V Car air compressors? It will continuously pump air into the chamber, it just wont pump very much. It would take 5 minutes to fill a foot long 3" chamber I would think. And they break quickly if you use them for longer then 5 minutes. They over heat, can't take the work load.

This is how your cloud will go at the current state:

1) Fill cloud chamber
2) Pump air tank
3) Waiting on air tank to reach 100 psi....
4) 5 minutes later, read to fire
5) 4 seconds burst of BB's, half of which don't even go 30'
6) Compressor is still pumping up the chamber but after the 4 second burst it's back down to 0 PSI
7) Wait another 5 minutes
8 Compressor breaks

Edit: This is a proper air compressor:

If your dad has one, it should look similar, big tank, big motor on top.

Yes, most likely.

An air compressor is just something that compresses air, there are many different types. The one I posted above is just a common air compressor used for painting, nail guns, other air tools and what not.

All air compressors are the same really, these ones are just more powerful and have a air tank to store the compressed air.

so an electric bike pump will not work for sure?

i dun need to use it for constant 1 hour shooting

just like 1 - 2 minutes cause i really just want to see that bb go flying that is all

so i plan to use my 3" pipe [dunno how long i should cut it] for my tank, would a 2l bottle of coke work for a tank =] ?

my 1.5" pipe for storing bbs and attaching barrel to

and no idea what to use for barrel

hey and i just realised, its gonna look like a paint ball gun

Argh....IT WILL WORK JUST NOT VERY WELL.

I've already said that in my above posts.

And it will take 5 minutes to fill up a foot long 3" chamber, for which you will get a few seconds of firing, most of which wont shoot past 30'.

So 1-2 minutes isn't possible with a 12v air compressor, you will be very disappointed. You will only get a few seconds, no where near a minute.
