So why don't you tell people where you live? It isn't like Larda will hunt you with his hybrid to claim your epoxy.

... because the legality of spudding where I live is a grey area at best and I would not like to draw any undue attention to myself.

Looks like there might be a corelation between the location of my epoxy batcave and the incidence of lung cancer amongst spudding enthusiasts
*GASP*
How do I sleep at night?!?
very well, thank you

Oh alright so you are in the uk? I don't need to know where you live I was just wondering. I get why you don't want to say I will leave you alone for that but wouldn't it suck if they confiscated your epoxy, airguns, canons? I would be a little bit more angry than ''sorry officer''. jk I am sure they would olny take your epoxy.

The legality of spudding in any country depends on the mental maturity of the police officer that comes to talk to you when they get reports of "a high power airgun".jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:... because the legality of spudding where I live is a grey area at best and I would not like to draw any undue attention to myself.
If that age is sufficently low, you might be lucky and get the response of "That's so cool!"
Equally, you might get a total grump who will tell you that something that is actually entirely legal isn't, and confiscate your playthings regardless.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

If I was a 15 year old kid then I'd probably care less, but since I'm over 18 and have a good job I'd like to hold on to, getting in trouble with the law isn't something I can really afford.

open wide for the aeroplane! wooosh!
The only moving part is the piston, the aluminium tubing with the yellow BB stuck to it. Everything else is fixed in place.

So it is *slightly* servicable, with the help of a vice and a pair of pliers, I managed to remove the schrader valve. The reason behind this was that at 200-300 psi it would leak through the barrel, therefore given the small chamber volume its full potential was not being exploited.
I figured - for want of a better explanation - this was down to the spherical piston head pressing against the seal distorting it. What I did using my drill-clamped-in-a-vice improvised lathe was give it a flatter face, and also took the oportunity to shorten the piston as well as cut down on the dead space and shorten the body.
The Araldite's curing, I'll let you know if performance improves when it's done, though I left my shock pump in Spain so full details next weekend. Given my current string of excellent luck with pneumatics though, it'll probably not work at all now
