Hey, is there any way of making a sprinkler valve fully automatic? Or at least semi?If there is, could you point me in the right direction?
thanks
Automatic Sprinkler Valve?
Well yes I suppose but you may as well use a Q.E.V. If I'm bit mistaken a QEV and a popoff valve will make full auto but the pressurizing is the hard part. First off you need a constant air source for it. once you have that, and a clip you have semi auto. A clip could be a tube sticking up from the barrel. So worry about air source and loading first then buy the valve parts.

The problem with sprinkler valves is that they usually take long to reset after opening, so as suggested above you're better off with a QEV.
.. and QEV + pop-off valve = full auto

With dont mod a sprinkler valve with a safety pop-off valve instead of a blowgun and wihle the gun is repressuring reload with a bolt action system? The problem with sprinkler valves is that they usually take long to reset after opening
Thanks guys
and Demon im not quite sure what you said, but I assume that you said I could hook up a pop-off with a sprinkler and it should work?
And also, assuming I have the same setup as the gun that JSR showed me , would I be able to substitute a "homemade QEV" (piston valve that they use on french forum, http://patator.frbb.net/) would it work or would it take to long to reset?

Regardless of pilot valve, a sprinkler valve takes too long to reset. Seating time has little to do with the pilot valve. So no, it wouldn't be much different to a blowgun.Demon wrote:With dont mod a sprinkler valve with a safety pop-off valve instead of a blowgun and wihle the gun is repressuring reload with a bolt action system? The problem with sprinkler valves is that they usually take long to reset after opening
