Spudtech.com is under new ownership. Spudtech LLC will continue to work closely with Joel to ensure that all products maintain the quality you have come to trust from Spudtech.com. We look forward to the expansion of our product line and the continuation of educational information.
The new owner is some guy named Jeremy, anyone know anything about him or the buying of the site in general?

Welcome to 6 months ago

Not much has been said on it since there isn't anything interesting to be said.

Whatever, I haven't checked that site in a while, but my questions still stand.

I checked it out before I joined this site. They do not have near the numbers of active members as Spudfiles. Why would you go over there, almost every one who used to be a member there is here now any way.

SpudTech has 0 members. Click on "Forum", it goes to SpudFiles. SpudTech no longer has a forum.

Actually, talking about this - the Spudtech Archive link seems to be dead.

I noticed this while reading this thread. I recompiled Apache and PHP about 2 days ago and I made a change that broke it. It's back up now.

Yes, Spudtech is back.
Here is what I know about Jeremy:
He is a longhaired geek from Minnesota USA that loves to invent, build, analyze, launch, destroy, and explode stuff.
Has a background in information technology.
Owns two spud gun companies and an IT consulting business.
So far has been too busy reviving spudtech to be as sociable as he would like at spudfiles. So much work to be done!
Last but not least a big fan of spudfiles! :D

Would Jeremy's Spudfiles ID happen to be "Spudtech".....hummm, by any chance...

If it is, (or isn't) welcome aboard!!

Yes, you would be correct.
However, right now Jeremy is so short on sleep that only his empty shell can communicate at the moment. :coffee:

Very cool! Glad to know you're hanging around these parts. BTW, I have a 26 year background in IT as well...I felt like you were describing me in many ways there.... 8)

He's like Julius Caesar. Only refers to himself in third person in his writing.
I think Caesar did it so he could write things like "Julius Caesar is an awesome dude" without it being quite so obvious that he was blowing his own trumpet.
This was your daily completely irrelevant fact dredged up from the depths of Ragnarok's brain.

Now, this guy I shall have to watch.
I'm not personally likely to become a customer of Spudtech (being both in the UK, and very fond of doing my projects entirely from scratch), but ignoring the return of a big name like that in a hobby with such a small "serious" core would be stupid of me.

One slight concern has come to mind just this instant - I know the old ST forum got a number of "Where's my order" posts. Given that SF is now the forum linked to from ST, how long is it before we get the same?
Not that I'm necessarily suggesting that ST will run up quite the same order backlog this time around, but I'm pretty sure we'll get someone impatient enough to make such a post eventually.
