Portable Airsource

I had an Idea, Probibly nothing special (me and my pesemistic ways...)
Anyways how is this for an air sourse (for me something temporary since my compressor is buried in my garage somwhere.. what goes in will never come out) but back on topic.
My Idea was maybe have the pressure come from a can of Duster Gas or "sun" Propane cans. Anyays they both obviously need to be pushed in for the propane (both contain propain so just to be easyer I will refer both as propane) to escape, what if I was to conatain the pressure of the propane inside lets say a piece of pressure rated pipe, not like a GBB magazines but more similar to Gbb magazines that use Co2 cartridges. I would a propane can in a pressure rated pipe with an end cap and one threaded end, then somehow leave it pushed down and screw in (so it is replacable). Frome there have a pressure rated hose which connects to a BBMG.

Sorry If I am remaking another pose someone already made, I'm pretty new to BBMGs (well not clouds but new on spudfiles and my terminology sucks, more of an airsofter)

which brings me to another question. Since the propane and duster gas is in a liquid state in the can and everynow and then the liquid spurts out if pressed upside down, and if I use 40 pvc would that coldness along with that pressure be able to shatter it? would it be better to use 40 abs?

I will assume that you want to use propane as the gas in a pneumatic. that has been done before. I would use metal, because it has a very slim chance of failing, and may be easier to attach the propane tank to it. You should use an expansion chamber between the propane bottle and the bbmg chamber. only use it in a well ventilated area, because propane is flammable.

well that clears that problem up. Time to go to Home Depot.
I have used propane (just propane) Gas pistols (it is cheaper than Green gas and basicly the same thing) but then again a BBMG shoots like 100x more bbs a second than a full auto airsoft pistol. So how was your performance using propane. What were your design specs that you would recomend?

If you don't mind paying $1-5 per 12g, then go ahead with the CO2 inflater. I can get propane for $1 per pound! Granted, the tire inflater are more compact, but for something like a BBMG, you need volume.

A 1lb propane can works OK for running BBMGs on warm days, if you run it indoors I would recommend you put a pilot light on the barrel.

My concern is that you're talking about using propane inside a PVC gun that fires ay full auto rates. PVC is pretty static-y stuff. Static charges could build up metal or plastic BBs and the PVC body of the gun.
That means SPARKS in a fuel/air mix...
The potential for fire and/or explosion here seems way too high.

It is kind of wasteful to use propane for a pneumatic, especially seeing how low the pressure is it puts out and the risks that it causes. I would buy a CO2 or scuba tank and reg that down to 50-200psi, that will give you alot of decent shooting and if you rent the tank it is also fairly cheep(cost me 40$ for about two months with a reg and 30L of compressed air @ 250bar). Or use a compressor, i am guessing you should clean your garage anyway so this might be a good reason to(talking of, i should also do some cleaning...)
