I'm stuck at my aunt's house, which is usually pretty boring, but thanks to wireless internet connections (using the neighbor's right now :laughing6: ), I decided to upload another cannon that I built a short while ago.

It has the standard sniper stock layout, using 1" fittings instead of 3/4" to make it more sturdy and for a little less flow-restriction.

Specs:

Main Air Chamber: 2" x 16"
Barrel: 1/2" SDR 13.5, sleeved inside 3/4" pvc for support (36" long)
Fill Valve: Rubber valve stem that I bought at Ace hardware
Firing Valve: Pneumatically modded 1" sprinkler valve
Extras: Breech loading ("bolt-action"). Again, another cannon with a paintball barrel  lol

This thing was a pain in the a** to paint, mainly because I painted it with the sprinkler valve already on it, so I had to tape the hell out of it with painter's tape.

Overall length of the cannon is just over 5 feet long, and it's pretty hefty to carry around. I'd like to make a bipod for it sometime soon, but I'm currently in college and also working a part-time job, so my schedule is pretty much filled up lately.

Personally, my favorite part of the design is the elbows that I used to go around the left side of the blowgun to the chamber. It works out great as a way to keep the blowgun out of the way, and is still pretty slick looking. It makes the configuration of the trigger pretty comfortable, and provides sort of a trigger guard on one side so I can set the gun down without worrying that I'm going to accidentally fire it. Not that I walk away from loaded potato cannons, but in case I need to grab something really quick or whatever.

Ammo consists primarily of frozen paintballs, but shooting bolts wrapped in duct tape is pretty fun. Got the bolt idea from others on this forum. Simple, and has great penetration abilities :)

Anyways, I'll try to get some damage pics up tomorrow, but until then, hope the following photos tide you guys over

WOW!!! That is a beautiful cannon.

One of the better cannons (as far as a different design) that I've seen.

9.5/10

I would have given ya 10/10 if you put a scope on it lol. nothing fancy, you can buy a cheap red dot scope from fleet farm for like 10 bucks.

Again, awesome job! (first post )

That thing looks bad ass! I assume you bought your PVC from ace hardware, my only resource is home depot (im in Canada) so my design is limited to the fittings i can find. I am embarrassed w/ my cannons looking at yours lol! nice job!

Very Good, 9.9/10 (again for the scope), but its not really a problem if you have good aim. Yeah, nice job!

Is it just me, or from the shooter picture, does that think look like an AK47? Sweet gun man, looks like a serious piece of work,

Really muscular looking sniper Crash!! Great detail work fitting things together. Your trigger avoidance is just awesome, breech system looks great, paint job very reasonable. Overall beautiful job!

My only slight negative, it seems your barrel is drooping slightly...maybe a barrel brace toward the end of your airtank would help you some there...or maybe it's an optical illusion....

It kind of looks like it has a "dragunov" style stock. Awesome gun!
