Hi I am new to the whole spud gun scene and have built one with a inline configuration.
It has a 11in long 4in diameter chamber and a 4 foot long 2in barrel with a gas grill ignighter.
I painted it as a test subject for future spud gun projects.
The tip of the barrell is painted black with the main red barrell portion done in hot-rod style flames at the tip and when I took the tape off of the already painted black part it took random paint off so I used yellow permanent marker and scribbled on the white section then took orange permanent marker and scribbled on the yellow and it looked like it was on fire so I decided to do the chamber the same way.
All I did was take the yellow first and make lines back and forth (scribbled) all over the place and then went over it all with the orange permanent marker to get the design. I hope you enjoy ! ! !


Also, I want a front grip for my spudgun, I been searching this forum for any suggestions with no luck so far so if someone coud kindly point me to any ideas I would appreciate it.

It looks like you colored it with a crayon...I like it

As far as a front grip goes, the possibilites are endless. As far as upgrades go, check out the wiki under combustion launchers, as well as the rest of the forum for those.

It's good to see a a new member that uses proper grammar and knows what he is doing.

As for the gun, it looks good. It looks strikingly similar to my first spud gun. The paint/marker job looks OK. It could look even worse with purple primer stains running all over it. Over all it's a good first.

For the grip it can be really simple. All you'd need is a 1 1/4 inch tee and a length of pipe for your handle. Cut the tee in half across from the outlet then you can attach it by using hose clamps or tape or whatever you want. Also it can be any size tee really but I find that 1 1/4 pipe feels best for a simple handle/grip. You can wrap it in leather or rubber for better grip.

From far away, I thought it was just really crappy scraped paint, but up close it looks fantastic

Thanks for the idea about the tee for the pistol grip, I will definately be adding one of those to this thing.

Oh yeah ill be around lol.......my next gun will have a stun gun ignighter, removable/interchangable barrels, a way nicer paint job/scheme, a fan from an old pc, possibly breech loading, and whatever else I can come up with from all this research I am doing lol.

This was just my test gun to see what it was all about and to see if it is worth investing time and money into lol.......which it DEFINATELY IS ! !......I want a pistol version, an over under version, and my main gun which will be based off of the Green Hornet from the advancedspuds website except for the use of a stungun for an ignighter.

Also I have many many questions so I will be asking heeheehee...

I definately want to stick with combustion for now. I want to look into the whole propane thing I think then I will move on to pneumatic possibly.

I am kind of bummed out about the whole......Right Guard not being combustible any more and I don't like the whole hairspray idea, I am going to try static guard I think but need to research more on the best product to use for combustion.

Also I don't like having to rush to put on the cleanout cap everytime I spray fluid in the chamber. I saw a soda bottle cap being used somewhere but am unable to find it again lol.....but I will research further on the matter unless anone has better ideas......hint hint.......lol.

Good job on a first launcher, and the paint job is... unique. I actually don't mind it.

As for the fuel, you'd be better of switching to propane if you're planning on putting a good amount of work into future projects. A simple detachable meter... nothing fancy... can get the job done.

Cool videos by the way, particularly this one - perhaps an effective muzzle brake is in order to help mitigate the recoil for the kids plus propane fuelling in the correct proportions would ensure that it fires practically at the first spark when you're braced the hardest to hold it.
