ok i have to know witch pilot valve is the best
a blow gun or hammer valve to pilot the barrel sealer that i want to build ?
because if it not have a pig different with the performance i will choose the blow gun

A hammer valve can give one shot if driven by a spring powerful enough to not only open the poppet through sheer force but hold it open until the gas pressure is exhausted.
I believe Gippetos hammer valve cannon works in that way. Also that he's going to have fun getting a spring setup to operate it at the designed pressure of 3000psi not the currently working 600psi. But best of luck

I know that - nothing I said is specific to that it being the main valve. It's possible to pilot a well made piston valve or a QEV with a hammer valve and still get the multiple shot characteristic of the hammer valve, by virtue of exhausting the pilot a bit at a time.far_cry wrote:you miss the point , i dont need hammer valve as main valve (pcp)
And in answer to your question - if you're dumping the entire pilot, there will be no functional difference between the power provided by the hammer valve piloting and the power provided by any other type of piloting, as long as one variety is not providing vastly more flow, which I can't see being hugely likely.

check out what i posted just a few minutes ago. it's a mechanically triggered pop-off. if u use it for a single fire cannon then all that stuff i typed won't really apply to u. best of all it can have as high of a pressure rating as u need depending on how u make it (which is pretty simple and easy). it feels more like a real trigger. it opens instantly so u wont have to worry about opening a valve quick enough by hand for a proper pilot.

By nature, a QEV is an avalanche type valve.
