I recently build a pump from some parts I bought, the importent components here are the one way valves.Theoretically if you reverse the one way valves you will have a vacume pump.
Heres some pics.

I scrapped it because I have better pumps, this was just an experiment. It pumped fine allthough it would have been exellent for pumping water. My suspitions are that it had too much dead space in it which would make it such at pumping high pressure. It worked equally good at being a vacume pump.

What about converting an old unused lawnmower into an air pump, or the compressor from a fridge? Ok, I know those are both redneck, and its against the law to release freon into the atmosphere, but how the deuce would you capture the freon to make it "legal"? I just have a crappy old fridge in my garage I either need to get rid of, or scrap parts off.

It's not illeagal unless you get caught. and those ideas are not redneck, they're just "recycling"

How about harnessing the exhaust from the motor to make a cloud? Those are brass one way valves, you can get them from a pump or bore hole store.

No, just have a flow valve to control if the bb's come out or not. Just drop the bb's in from the top by some sort of hopper. That should do the trick. You could always redirect the gasses if need be.

yeah, like the hopper above the rest of the gun with a ball valve to let the bb's come out then close it when you want to stop shooting

Yep. But I think running an air pump on the motor will produce better preformance.
You would also have to use metel bb's because I am sure the plastic ones would melt. There are also many better things to do with a motor.
