PG255 Locutus
Provided By - http://w ... m/spud/
"Locutus" was built soon after "Thug '03". Talk about a project getting WAY out of hand...
"Locutus" is a monster. It took over a week to build after the plans were laid out (a long time for a spud launcher!). It was also the first time I have ever used an electronic high voltage ignition system - salvaged from a stun gun. (It was actually pretty simple) All in all, it was a fun launcher to build, and a fun one to launch
The Locutus is currently my crown jewel. It features the following accoutrements:
~255 cubic inch chamber
Dual fire 100,000 volt ignition system
3 step kill switch system
"VisaFire" system (allows safe viewing of ignition jump so you don't have to look in the chamber - my own personal design )
Brush less chamber fan with piggyback switch (allows easy use of the fan without having to put down the gun)
Minigun style grips (wood, aluminum and fiberglass) for easy transporting and firing
All ignition system components have been designed to be water resistant
Ignition system has a patch-in location for remote launching
Interchangeable barrels
New design for the barrel cutter (makes it a LOT easier to cut a spud)

- Detail of the chamber showing kill switches. The ignition switch is on the handle. The fan switch is on the opposite side of the handle, so you can't see it in this pic.

Thats awsome, It would take me like a year to learn what all the switches did. Cool. I like it

how does the visa-fire work, does it have a little spark gap to jump, so you can tell if it is jumping?

hmm yea the VisFire thigy sounds like one of those features companys put on that are pretty much useless, no offense . I think wut it does is jus let u see a spark jump which tells u if the stun thingy is working but I don't see how it tells u if the spark actually happens in the chamber.
I WANT A STUNGUN ignitor, is it legal for a 15 yo to buy one?

I bet you can find someone to sell one to you. Have any gun shows around there?

its not an illegal product, its just less than legal for a minor to buy one, but just get your parents to go with you, if they know you're dismantling it to modify it they shouldnt have a problem.
at farmer's markets around here the little chinese people have no clue, i could buy anything from them, and sometimes do

Well, I guess that if you have "little chinese people" letting you buy "less than legal" merchandise its okay. And I hope anything isn't alcoholic (if u r under 21). Well, i do agree that if your parents agree, then you can shock the @!&* outta yourself. If u wanna.

I herbey dub Mac_User forum lawyer.
Why not just use a camera flash system with a flyback or ignition coil? Its definitely legal to dismantle an old TV or go down to your local automotive store and by a coil.

In the Visa Fire, the spark will only jump if the circuit is complete. If the spark won't happen in the chamber, then it sure isn't going to happen in the cylinder.
