Slightly?

I do like the shadow of his legs in the first one though

EDIT: Also, why not make the back of your enclosure out of some sort of thin plastic or latex sheet? It would keep the water off and allow you to access most of the controls quite easily.
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

True, and it wouldn't have to be tough reall because it's unlikely that shrapnel would come from behind the camera.

Here's a couple more, BBMG vs soup tin bull of water at 420 fps

Nice...

Got any black paper? It might make it a bit easier to see the water splashing off.

No, but I do have a HPA BBMG :D :D :D

Note how the target is blown back by the air blast before the first BB hit (muzzle was about 2 metres from the target) which also disturbs the camera, and the difference in power from the 100 psi strafer I used here, 800 psi ftw! Almost all BBs penetrate completely without having to "chew" through the plate like most BBMGs.

Disposable lighter at 1000 fps - Yes, I know there should have been a source of ignition next to it but I like my camera :P :D

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here's a few vids of fire coming out of a cardboard tube.

You still think you need 1/2" Lexan to protect the camera? I'm leaning towards a 1/4" first layer and a disposable 1/16" outer layer.....

My advice would be to wait until the EX-FC150 is released outside of Japan and get that. It's basically the same as the EX-FC100 but with a higher MP sensor, another higher quality but lower framerate high-speed mode, and perhaps most importantly, a backlit CMOS sensor. This reduces noise by a whole lot (probably the main failing of the EX-FC100)while also increasing sensitivity to light (a great bonus on a hs camera). Not sure when it will be released, but I suppose patience is a virtue :?

I could barely wait the week it took to arrive

That makes a lot of sense, I was going to ask if the front face was servicable - because a steel ricochet might not have enough power to penetrate but it will still be able to mark the surface in such a manner as to interfere with the lens if it happens to be just in front of it.

Let's face it, if I'm in a situation where 1/4" of lexan is not enough protection, I probably shouldn't be in the same room as whatever I'm filming
