New commercial BBMG's- Umarex Steel Storm and EBOS
Umarex Steel Storm
Specs:
.177 steel bb only
430 fps
30 round fixed magazine, 200 round reservoir
Weight: 2.70 lbs
Barrel Length: 7.50"
Overall Length: 15.00"
It doesn't actually offer full auto, just semiautomatic and 6 round bursts.
The preorder price looks to be $80-ish, which is a heck of a lot more affordable than the Drozd. One distributor claims it won't be available until June.
It's blowback operated, as opposed to the Drozd..
One thing that has me a little troubled is that it takes 2 CO2 catridges, but I don't know how many shots they offer.
At any rate, it looks like I'll have to budget for one.
Umarex EBOS
Specs:
Caliber: .177 bb only
Velocity: 540 fps
Capacity: 500 rounds
Length: 34.75"
Barrel: 9.7"
Weight: 3 lbs
Electronic trigger control
2, 4, or 8 round burst
Powered by 88g CO2 cartridge
Price: $110-ish
This one is quite interesting. It seems more Drozd Blackbird inspired, with the electronic trigger control, 88g CO2 cartridge, and very high capacity.
The electronic trigger control shows some promise. I know the Drozd is very easily converted to true full auto, so I wonder if this one will be can be similarly converted. It also seems easier to convert airguns that take an 88g cartridge to a paintball tank, so this one could really offer some rock and roll.
I didn't see any release date information, so who knows when we'll see it.
There's also no rate of fire information for either model.
Also of note, they also have several new blowback bb guns, the most interesting of which is an H&K MP5K-PDW. If it fires from an open bolt, it would be very easy to convert to full auto as well.

Nice, looks like a cross between the MP7 and the TMP. No batteries then?

Life's too short to mark off the items on your wish list...
Why do people need a .177 cal full-auto mp7? is it for target practice? you can't shoot your friends with one of these. I'd like to have one but i don't see the point in a full auto. i'll stick with my pump-master 760

There are these things called wants.. they are things that people don't exactly need but are still fun to have...
Here is the definition of the word "Want":
desire: feel or have a desire for; want strongly
It is similar to the word "wish", if you know what that word means.
Many people on this forum do things not for necessity, but for fun.
very true. It would be fun to use one of these. i'd just prefer a different something... everybody has different wantsDavidvaini wrote:Well you see...Marffy wrote:Why do people need a .177 cal full-auto mp7? is it for target practice? you can't shoot your friends with one of these. Saw that, if so it would be interesting to see what the burst limiting mechanism looks like.kozak6 wrote:I think so. Pyramyd Air advertises it as blowback.
Only a tiny percenatage of the projects we make here are actually needed, but we do them anyway. If you strip away everything that's unnecessary from life you're left with very little.Marffy wrote:Why do people need a .177 cal full-auto mp7?
Here's a future life tip:
Future wife: Why do you need to buy another gun? You already have loads in your cabinet!
Future you: Same reason you need another pair of shoes

Be that as it may, it's not really something you should be discussing on a public forum.bradisfun wrote:my friends hav smuggled bb guns into aus by plane no idea how tho

It's when you start linking to furry comics that it gets a tad disturbingRagnarok wrote:As is always the way with me, I have a comic link for EVERYTHING.
