Rub it a little and it should grow to German standards.

Be safe when you shoot; use a spray on shmeckel decker.

OK, it was time for this.

Took the trigger part from my slingshot pistol and eliminated the two problems I had with it:

1. The low power (I simply gave it 87 cm draw length)

2. The dangerous and awkward loading (I added a sliding fork, so you can load it easily and cock it when you are ready to fire).

This is technically and legally a crossbow now, so you have to be 18 to own it in Germany (no problem here - sigh...).

It is a great shooter! I am amazed by its accuracy. I may add a good sighting system.

Enjoy!

WOW!!

Many copies are bound to be made.

A stirrup with stronger/longer bands and you could launch cannon balls.

What is the draw strength?

About 25 lbs. A child (with long arms) can cock this. Rubber is simply energy efficient!

I am unsure what that means.

F=MxA

25 pounds of force will accelerate a mass less than 50 pounds whether it is rubber or steel doing the pushing.

Another factor is the length of time of the force.

Perhaps, rubber keeps pushing longer in time and in distance than steel.

I am not a physicist, just a business man with a hobby. But I think that maybe rubber looses less energy in friction (= heat) than air rifles or crossbows.

I have some (legal) air guns. They are 7,5 Joules strong (= weak). They require more power to be loaded than my 39 Joule slingshot crossbow.

Excellent!! I just knew you could not resist. In my opinion you're design far exceeds anything I've seen in the way of slingshot rifles. I especially like the cocking mechanism it is both clean and very safe when compared to a winch or ratcheting clamp. I may have to borrow the idea:). Anyway thanks.

I made a total of six slingshots in my "Beauty" line.

I want to find out the most popular style, so I am conducting a weeklong inquiry.

If you want to have a chance to win a "Limited Edition Cougar", just leave your vote as a comment to this video:

Thanks!

i like both the first and last ones. You did a good job on all of them, but i think the fist one looks quite sexy and light. And the last one looks good but it also looks like i fits better in your hand and therefore functions well. and in my mind that is one of the most important things. So i vote the last one.

I missed a bit of the video at the end, hope i didnt miss another slingshot

I voted 5 because I love the way you incorperated the bronze with the different woods!

Have bought this stock today, will put the slingshot crossbow into it and attach a red dot sighting system.

Nice stock.

It will be interesting to see how you integrate the two.
