I'm appalled by this question, if it was a serious one. Ranger, is this how poor your world view is?Ranger wrote:If you are in germany, how did you learn to speak english?

It was meant to be a simple question about why he is speaking english (very good english) in germany. It was not meant to be mean or have "poor world views"
I will go back and edit
Edit: is that better?

Now that you phrased it better it doesn't sound so bad

Have done it - I converted an old rifle stock for the slingshot crossbow, and I also attached a scope.
I strengthened the barrel by adding to more "rails", as the 3 stripes of Thera Gold per side bent the single steel tube slightly upwards. Now everything is OK!
Used a training band to adjust the scope and to test the accuracy - 10 meters, it shoots hole in hole in hole.
It is really long for a crossbow, but I love it!
Will do a video tomorrow, already prepared the ballistic gelatin...
Regards, Jörg

Here's what he told me
The trigger is just a lever that holds the roller parts together, like a fork. You pull the trigger and the fork lowers, releasing the rollers. Those swing out, because of the pull of the rubber, and the shot falls.

Yes, I made the scope mount. Wasn't very easy, the nature of the gun called for just one attachment point, behind the lock. So I had to use thick steel.
Also, the clamps on the Bushnell scope do not have a wide "range", the rail had to be very precise.
I had to rebuild the trigger lever in order to make it fitting into the stock.

The 3 tubes makes it look like a triple barrel shotgun with square projectiles.
Well the walls of the tubes are just 1mm... a little bit on the thin side for a firearm! But for a sling-crossbow it is allright.
Video is uploading, tested it against gelatin and compared it with "real" ball shooting crossbows. They don't stand a chance.
BTW, I measured the draw weight. It is about 55 lbs for the strongest band set.

I believe that 75 - 100 pound draw is possible.
250 meter golf ball?
