Thanks, I appear to stand corrected. This cracked in a normal combustion? Wow. From the way the cellular core hold up, this is very unusual.

Were there any unusual conditions that may have led to the failure? It looks like the female adapter cracked and the crack expanded into the pipe, not the other way around.

To talk about a safety issue that isn't ABS related...

You need to watch where the muzzle is pointing rather more than you are at the moment. Between about 1:00 and 1:15 in that video, you've got the launcher pointing in just about every which way - while it's loaded.

Basic firearms safety is just as important, if not more so, with home-made launchers as it is with real firearms. While usually less energetic, they have rather fewer safety features, rather more chance of going off spontaneously, and are usually built from materials not intended for the purpose.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

These things are not toys. Do treat them as if they are loaded at all times. I found this video of unsafe handling that could have ended poorly. This type of behavior is why many locations try to ban these. They are unsafe in the hands of unsafe people.
