If your using a pressure rated ballvale you can get about 400psi from copper if the ballvalve is rated to that. You could probly use a sprinkler valve/solinoid, OR you could use a ball valve that is pneumaticly actuated.

Soldering/sweating copper is VERY strong if you like neatness and are good at soldering I would use end feed solder fittings as they dont have the ridge that yorkshire fittings do. But end feeds can look very messy if your not good at soldering.

One more thing if your new to soldering remember, USE FLUX.

Atf, says it is ok to build potato guns as long as they dont resemble real weapons. Do what you want but dont get in trouble with it.

try a piston co-axil with a 1 in chamber and 1/2in barrel.maybe you could use a safety pop off valve for the exaust(sp) vavle and have realistic trigger on it. but do you want it to be bolt action? if you do goe with a modded sprinkler valve

When I read the what atf says about "spudguns it mentionmed that they are not to look like real weapons. Why?because they are not to be used as weapons.
