I found the video of CFL bulbs in a 2000 FPS video. They flicker as they start, then flicker less than an incandescent.

You can't change optical zoom while filming, but you can set it to any value of your choice beforehand.

You can change digital zoom while filming though.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

And no, there was nothing protecting the lens. Yes, it took me a while to get it clean. :D

I doubt even they'd want it, that jelly was disgusting. Even more so after it had been sprayed all over the bathroom floor and walls...

Speaking of which, be honest... has anyone with a HS camera ever used it for "shots" that are not strictly... er... spudgun related?

Uh, I think I suspect what you're getting at JSR, and the answer is a resounding NO. :?

hehe, I'd be curious to give it a go, though putting a halogen lamp on and fiddling with the fps settings would presumably ruin the moment

I believe that I read somewhere that particular "market" was anticipating the EX-F1, but I never followed up. :happy1:

Specialist shops will sell well over 100W bulbs for photography or similar with ES connections.

Although given the lifespan of some of the high wattage ones the CF varieties for photography seem to be a much better choice.

Sweet, it would be interesting to see it at slower speeds with actual propellor rotation.
