Yeah that's safe, if it crashed the gun might fire sending a skipping blade along the ground possibly straight for your ankles. I suggest no blades.
You could always have a box on the bottom that will open by servo and drop anything that fits in it, including paratroopers.
Make a bunch of flechettes with string attached between them, they should stick in the ground when they land and create a kind of tripwire.
Use a bunch of those tree seeds that fall like helicopters or make your own. You could also drop confetti. You could also try WATER! Just dump water on unsuspecting people and blame it on the robot.
The most practical weapon would be a gravity fed one. Make sure everything is symmetrical or it might fly funny, you can't mess with the Helo's center of gravity.
If you want to take out other aircraft put a net in the drop bay.
SILLY STRING!

How powerful is it? how much weight do you think it could hold?
the paratrooper one sounds cool and same with that water idea

smoke bombs would be awsome but how would you set them off?you would light them and have 5sec to drop them before the ignite into a ball of smoke, water bombs would be good just hard to aim

in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

heh i have a electric rc heli, had it for about 6 months couldnt fly it so i gave up, i have been meaning to go to the local rc shop and see if they can show me how to fly it. dont bother with micros they are to small to carry anything heavy if you want to put weapons on something get a bigger one, once you learn to fly. and the gun will fire radomly by itself rc stuff is good but it picks up other random signals in the air, my freind was flying his plane he paid AUS$600 for it and it picked up a signal and crashed straight into a wall. i would recomend buying a aeroplane because they would be easier to attach weapons to and they are alot cheaper and easier to fly.
how do i put a picture here? woo i brought a signature and have nothing fun in it

you know a strange thing happened to me with mine the other day, i brought it to the beach flew it for like 2 minutess then landed it, and all off a sudden the the thing tipped over and went full throtle. one of the blades folded up and hit into the other one, made a nice deep cut in it and rippped apart the coating on them. they were cheap balsa wood rotor blades covered in some sort of thin plastic so i need to buy some new ones, i think im gonna go with the carbon fiber this time.
about all the ideas... when i said light wieght i meant like less than a pound (if this thing can evan lift an extra pound) its a micro heli its small, heres a picture

I also have a small heli that I got for my birthday last year. I was exited at first but it was just so hard to fly and was too much effort to maintain. Now it is in my closet, I am waiting until everyone has forgot about it then I will scrap it and use the servos and motors to built a miny battle bot.
Forever dreaming...
