Not all cannons use valves. (that is a valve on the cannon in the link, a sprinkler valve. A piston is something like this)

Most pneumatic cannons use a valve or piston. However some use burst disks that rupture when they hit a certian pressure.

As for combustion cannons they don't use any type of valve/piston.

If your looking to build your first cannon I suggest looking around for an easy to build combustion cannon.

Wow 100 dollars for that cannon is a little outragious wouldn't ya say? You could build that for around 20-30 dollars. Why is it so expensive?

Put the valve after the piston, will you?
The homemade PISTON VALVES are indeed, valves. I generaly include the burst disks in the 'valve' catogory, although they may not fit the exact definition of valves, they act a bit like them...

All of these devices prevent the flow of air, then (either by failing because the pressure got too high, or opening because the operator activated them) let it out.

And only pnematic launchers use valves. Combustions don't need them, as the pressure didn't exist before you ignight the fuel/air mixture.

It's 109$ because Joel has to feed himself.

lol ya I guess your right.... I just can't imagine someone would spend that much. But I guess if you don't have the creativeness to make them then thats what your left with.... right?

Well, for people who want a spud gun but don't know how to make one, they would buy one instead, right?
What a way to rip people off lol. Not a bad idea though.

I thought I recall hearing him having another job, but hes bakc ordered pretty far and it takes him ~4-6 weeks to ship stuff now compared to the normal 1 week.

Yes, isnt everything in life a ripoff? I still dont get why people pay $2 for a fetching monster drink, which is just sugar water and caffeine... (basically)
