I might have found a dealer of 300 bar working pressure piping (without seams!!)
I also have a friend who is interested in spud guns, and perfectly understands the working of hybrids and pneumatics, so i'll probably build a large hybrid with him.

I was talking about the ignitor. Quite a neat little toy isn't it? :D

It works perfectly. Strong sparks, so I don't need to make my spark gap very small.

I can't build a hybrid without testing it with projectiles, so here's the vid:

With every video I make, the microphone on my camera sounds crappier :D

I don't think it is worth a topic in the Hybrid Showcase. If someone thinks it is, I will make one.

Why not, most people on the forum have never gone hybrid ;) you're being a bit of a female genital organ not going beyond 3x though... at that mix, you're not going to get any better performance than you can with a HPA coaxial.

I took it to a 5X mix! i'm a bit afraid of blowing it up, wich would end the fun i'm having with it.
The results i'm getting with this thing satisfy me very much! at 5X mix it pwns
my copper spudgun at 15 bar, with minimal pumping.

If you're inclined to take it higher, things to keep in mind are 1) chamber wall thickness and 2) strength of the plug joint.

Even with poor wall thickness, the most likely failure is the endcap blowing out, so don't have anything in the path of the back plug. and wear ear protection. yes.

The wall thickness is about 1.5 mm. The back plug is fixed with threading and epoxy, and the burst disk holder has 1,5 cm of roughened contact surface with the chamber.

I always use hearing protection, i've had some nasty experiences with magic powder...

I've made a showcase thread, so further discussion should go there I think.

Put it in google translator, and you'll get "valve discs", and that's actually what they are :D Just some rubber rings.

ITWOST, pen gun is in the works (finally). I've had the parts but never got around to making it. The piston was holding me up. I'm even hesitant to put the one that I made today in, but hopefully it works. Pics within 2 days.

Cleaned up my previous ignition system, and mounted it inside a box.

I measured the distance the sparks can jump, it's about 3 - 3,5 cm.
