For better photography, the LED POI sticks are much brighter and launch well.

I use the 7 inch ones and they are much brighter than glow sticks. Unfortunately my much older camera is not good in the dark.
They seem expensive at first, but the ability to use them for a couple of hours, then turn them off and use them later makes up for that. They also come in a flashing model as well as a color changer.

Disclaimer.. I don't endorse the link. They simply have the same model lights I bought at Walmart several years ago.
Get the mechanical switch twist top ones. the pushbutton ones sometimes reset if the battery contact is jostled during launch and needs another button push to turn it back on. Having them go out on launch is no fun.

We've ordered some of those, though they may have to wait until our next build is done before we launch them. This here may be the last video (appropriate for all audiences) starring Stubs here, due to me feeling air leaking out of the valve on its last few shots.
But she's served us well, and will be in our hearts always. In the meantime, we just filled the barrel with as many glow sticks as would fit.
We FINALLY got the "fireworks" effect we were going for. A fitting end for a fine starter cannon.
