Ok Stop you bitching. For a remote ignition you can use a stungun and wire a remote relay to it. One that i found online is 15 dollars for the relay and you can use your tv remote to set it off. So about 40 bucks for the whole set up.

god damnit im tired of people telling me to be carfull with oxy/mapp, if i blow my ass apart doing what i find to be intertaining well all i hope is they get it on video, on a lighter note oh my god it shoot the tater so fast and makes so much noise its cool, i fire it at a swamp and its really funny watchin birds scater plus theres no one around

Im new to this also, and im in the process of making my spudgun now.

Im going to use mapp gas also, and hopefully a PICmicrocontroller, and two sprinkler solenoids.

My plan is to program the microcontroller to open solenoid 1, then close. Start the ignitor, then open solenoid 2. I will control the amount of gas by the length of time solenoid 1 is open.

My first prototype will probably be manually controlled. Im still learning to program in BASIC.
