ITWOST: Extremely busy with uni, probably no chance of fibre-glassing my hybrid barrel (in preparation for the miniboy projectile) until mid-November. Launch date may very well be late-November.

ITWOST: 2" sprinkler valve going for $10USD on an NZ auction site. Need some ideas of what to make with it otherwise i'll let it slide. Keep in mind I already have a 2" sprinkler valve pneumatic for tennis balls and golf balls as well as a 1.5" porting piston valved pneumatic, among others.

Perhaps a cannon for jsefcik, to keep the forums clean???? However, that is a nifty valve there. You could probably remove them hoses and put a schrader valve in 1 and a small closed nipple for a blowgun in the other. Not a good spot for a blowgun, but just sayin. For 10 dollars, I would get it regardless. Def worth it!!
Go Bruins!!!!

Hmm, that would make a nice pilot for a pumpkin cannon.

Modify it, sell it for profit to another so spudder down under?
Double barreled, double valved TB cannon?
Shoot it out of your hybrid? It's cheaper then what you plan on shooting in the near future

3d still hasn't "clicked" for me...but 2d is fine for construction drawings.

ITWOST,
Did some chronographing with my small (former M480) hybrid and fishing sinkers. The fishing sinkers weigh 42g and were fired at a 7x mix and a 10x mix.
7x mix (64 layers of tin foil)
Chrony: 590fps/180ms
HGDT: 720fps/220ms
10x mix (56 layers of tin foil and 1 aluminium disk that bursts at ~300PSI)
Chrony: 730fps/222ms
HGDT: 850fps/260ms
The discrepancy could be due to two things: either the burst disk material interfered with the chrony or the burst disks weren't strong enough (probably more likely).
I think the chrony results are relatively consistent with HGDT considering I was firing through the chrono from ~2m away and the exact bursting pressure is not known but estimated.
I was really disappointed with the results until I weighed the fishing sinkers, I thought they were only about 20g, not 42g. No wonder the results are average, I'm firing something that weighs the same as a golf ball but through a 19mm diameter barrel. Not very efficient at all.
I want to try some light projectiles (<10g) as HGDT says they should be well over the speed of sound. Just need some ideas for light projectiles that fit in the barrel (using sabots would be difficult with the chrony, especially discarding sabots and not just 'pushers').
I've documented this all with video, perhaps if I can be bothered tonight I'll edit it all.
