My first paintball game.
Here is the pm I have sent two of my freinds already, now I am copying it here. I really love paintball.
Me and my bud went down to a local field(which is now my home field, I would live there if I could) http://www.battlezone.co.za/ <link) just to check it out. Now of course by the time we got there I was jumping all over the place with adrenalin and was going to play. We where talking to this guy and there was a group with only 7 players(only some had played befor), they said we could join. So we where one player short and this prof guy joined our side for the first two games, then left. So we got kitted up with tippmann pro carbines and 30 balls each. We went to the bush areana. There were paintballs everywhere and I was harvesting them. We played a rencarnation game which ment when you got hit you had to touch a pole befor you go back in. I must have shot 4 people and I didn't get hit once. Cool Next game was the same, I hit one or two people and never got hit, it was bloody exciteing, got hit in the mask. The third game was capture the flag, the flag was in a tower(seen on web site) so me and my buddy took center field, the other two guys took the sides, we ran quikley to the barrels in front of the tower, marking down the enemy players. My freind broke for the tower climed it and grabbed the flag, I was still waiting at the barrels. He through it at me and I grabbed it, ran to our base and won the first round. We never lost and games, because of me and my buddy. Second game we stuck to our stratigy, I climed the tower grabbed the flag and chucked it to John(buddy) and I stuck my head over the top to shoot, just as the ref said,"you guys are better than them" I got shot with a slow motion paintball in the mask. Who cared, John had got back to base. Capture the flag was over in 5min. So we took a break.
Next game was the concrete wall mirror field, rencrnation. We started, I was dashing down looking for a good sniping spot. All I could find were left hand shooting positions, I took them, me and the enemy exchanging fire, BAMB, I got hit on the finger. OW OW OW SH!T, I said but it wasn't that sore and I ran to the right hand side of the field, there was a right hand sniping position, I took out 3 guys. Then I ran to one of the giant spindle things center field, a ball hit under my ass and stung like crap. There was two enemies left, I ran to there base and just as I get there they run out of co2 and surrender. Another victory.
The last game was blood sport, play until you can't. It was on a bush field. We had 4 guys our side, they had 5. My marker must have broke a ball in the barrel. It wasn't shooting great, sniping sucked. After a while and a few balls (I had the most in the game because I picked them up everywhere) Only 2 a side. Me and John were left. John was in a trench so I thought I would go and renforce him, bad idea, we were both marked down in the trench. My head must have been up a bit high because a paintball nailed me on top of my cap, sorest hit ever. We were marked down from the end and side of the field and couldn't retreat. I raised my marker and returned to the touch pole. John had also gotten out. We were sniping everywhere but no hits iether side. John and and enemy ran out of balls/co2. The last enemy was at the left hand side, in deep. So I ran and hid behind barrels, I had just noticed that he was behind the barrels 4meters ahead of me. It was a stale mate for 2min but he decides to make a run for me. He steps out and I loaded him with paint, we were both empty but I was VICTORIOUS. Not bad for my first time, John had played befor. I was on a paintball high for the time I was there but then I was depressed when I was home because the high was over. Sorry for the long post, it would be longer but hay. Didn't want to bore you. I would say I was man of the day, if it weren't for me the team could have lost, but we didn't lose once.
I plan to go again next week end.

Kris is right, used paintballs get a soft spot where the c02 hits them, this makes them fly erratically and often burst in the barrel.
when you do get a barrel burst you should immediately find cover and clean your gun out. (with a pro carbine i wouldnt necessarily do a complete field strip as it isn't as fast and simple as a straight blowback gun like a spyder,
but you should remove the barrel and squeegee it. if you dont have a barrel squeegee you can use a piece of tissue paper; put it in the breach end of the barrel and fire it through)
next time you play spend the extra few bucks to get enough good paintballs,
and you'll see a big improvement.
and ideally get yourself your own paintball gun, and familiarize yourself with it. you want to know it well enough that you can strip it without looking, load it while running, and shoot it instinctively.
THEN you can eventually become a paintball god

Know your gun.
I play with this gun. I did the custom fade. Its mechanical. And i bet i can kick your electrics ass anyday.
I am getting a marker soon. I only had a barrel break in the last game. Kinda sucked because that was the best field. I made sure all the balls I picked up were fine. Hmmm, paintball god.....You won't be dissapointed.

The balls pick up dirt. Dont ever pick up a paintball. If anyone ever uses my gun and picks up a paintball i smack them . It will scratch the barrel.
Ok, jese. It was just with rentals anyway. Tippmann pro carbine as well. I will remember that next time but those paintballs all over the place are tempting and when you start out with 25 rounds each match it is really tempting.

I have a spyder compact deluxe that i added venturi bolt, expansion chamber,
14" razor barrel. PMI electronic grip that i modded for the spyder (I don't like Spyder's electronics) raised sight rail, and tasco red dot optic.
soon it will have 18" hammerhead rifled barrel, and a Q loader.
i am not a fan of 'bling bling' on guns and the first thing i'd do with that fade is wire brush it and give it a coat of flat olive drab

wow, Kris.Is.Awesome, nice gun. I use my cannon as a mortar in paintball games my friend's host. I can cover an acre or two in paintballs. I just put on my 18', 4" diameter barrel, and pour in a couple hundred. I usually cover fields.

I would like a paintball marker but if i get one i will be getting the propane model made by tippman i believe because i dont really have a close CO2 refill station and then i have 2 get a lisence for it...ohh well, first i'll give it a go but i gota wait till im 18 before i can play cuz mum wont bother taking me to the field n filling in forms .
I only had to put my name, cell number, signature and age down. No parents required. Poor Aussies, no paintball. How well does the Q loader preform?
How do you custom fade your marker?

The Kingman Spyder MR1 is quite possibly the best paintball marker sold today. You put down about 120 - 140 dollars and you can start paintballing the next day, (after you get some paint and CO2). I like the operating system... simple and redundant at the same time...
EDIT: allow me to elaborate...
My friend's younger brother has a fully automatic marker, (don't know what kind... I don't really care...). TWICE so far, he has been in the middle of a game shooting and the bolt handle would just fly off and get lost. His gun will LITERALLY fall apart when he's shooting it. His hopper even popped off once.
With the MR1, it shoots everytime and it shoots accurately. A 20 oz. tank will last three times as long with semi-auto as it will with full-auto, and that's just a damn fact.
It's ironic. I read this post and I'm fixing to go fill my tank and buy ~500 rounds of paint just in case me and my buddy decide to have a spur of the moment fight sometime this week before I go back to work.
Anyways, if you want your own marker, I suggest a good old mechanical one, (Spyder!).
