Mjöllnir - 1.5" porting Handheld Piston Hybrid

Made this to make carrying things easier:



Contains the fuel meter, gas bottle, clips to hold the track pump, spare o-rings for the spool pilot valve, plumbers grease, allen key for the track pump, spare 9v battery for ignition system and teflon tape and JB weld for field repairs.

Finally got the track pump back in working order, it is literally on its last legs. Added two hydraulic hoses to replace the leaking LPG hose.

I guess the quick set jb weld would be alright as a last resort.

It would be for if I went up to my friends bach for a few days and something broke or a leak appeared, JB-Weld would be suitable for a 24 hour, or less, fix

You may notice a cut in the video and the reason why. The ignition key switch had somehow come loose so when I turned the key, it turned the entire switch unit so when I went to go fire the cannon, it wouldn't work as the switch was never turned on.

As for the camera shaking; adrenaline. It's strange being in front of a hybrid. I'm sure fellow hybridists will understand the adrenaline rush that comes from firing a hybrid.

But damn, this thing was LOUD. It was a whole different story standing in front of the cannon and even with earmuffs I noticed a huge difference in the report. Though the louder report may also be due to the fact that this is the first time I have fired the cannon with a 'projectile' since the upgrades (larger chamber, higher pressure required to open the valve, new pilot setup and new barrel: all of which may equate to a louder report).

Story of my hybrid life. My last thought is almost always "fùck it"; whether I think a part is going to fail, a ricochet is going to kill me or the projectile is going to put a hole in something it shouldn't

Getting those thoughts with a mini launcher is one thing, I can only imagine a 1.5" bore is exponentially worse.

You'll need to frame your shots wider than you normally would.

Could you try to rig up a sound trigger for the 600d's shutter? A high res shot of the muzzle would be amazing during muzzle flash.

And since we're on the subject:

I used my brothers Canon 600D, hence the DSLR-likeness

I'm surprised a Canon DSLR would have such muted colors. You may want to check if the custom color option thingy is set to "muted" or something.
