Nice to see an early jump! Got me a bit worried though! I think I'll try first with 300psi pneumatic then with the hybrid.

Before we get to far should we define a "standard jellybean" or let eople use whatever they want?
When I think of jellybeans I see two options... the smaller jelly belly ones and the larger erm.."normal" ones.
About 2.25 grams, 19.5mm long and 12.2mm wide is what I'd call "normal"

'Spose I could try this challenge with my hybrid if I can be bothered to go out and buy jelly beans... and find some plywood...and a place to shoot and some time to shoot.

Apparently not:SpudBlaster15 wrote:Can we use a shotgun round loaded with 50 of them? I don't have any functional small bore launchers, only the hybrid and a standard combustion.
We could also implement a new rule: If you're firing more than one at a time, you have to use 1/2" (Or 3/4") plywood and achieve complete penetration with at least one of the projectiles.
You might risk the jelly-shot just punching one big hole through the wood anywayjrrdw wrote:"a" so it's 1 at a time, 1 entry per member, 1 jelly bean per entry. Build a new cannon if you want to or use what you all ready have.

Do we have to use the whole jelly bean? Could we just make a cutter to cut a wad out of the jelly bean in the shape we need (provided we show it on the video)? Look at it this way- we do the same for potatoes.

So we can only launch one jelly bean at a time for this contest? Cool, I'm on it, pneumatic-style.

can't you roll it down on a hard surface until it's the right "calibre"?inonickname wrote:Do we have to use the whole jelly bean? Could we just make a cutter to cut a wad out of the jelly bean in the shape we need (provided we show it on the video)? Look at it this way- we do the same for potatoes.
