I'm building an airsoft gun that will use a QEV and slide valve system. Is it possible to build your own slide valve? How? Any help will be appreciated.

yup.

Clide made his own here for his "slider": http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/semi-auto-t160.html

Note however that a slide valve is just one configuration of a three way valve. This would serve the same function: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/diy-3-2 ... 21061.html
