D. Hall,
When a customer commissions a ballistics test with a gun such as vera, is it likely the test footage and data will be released into the public domain, or is it strictly 'between us and them'?
I'm guessing it varies depending on the customer, but is it a common occurrence based on your experience so far?

Generally it's completely up to the customer. We give them the footage and they do with it...whatever they want.Fnord wrote:I'm guessing it varies depending on the customer, but is it a common occurrence based on your experience so far?
And it's very rare that it gets released. I've only worked on one test that got released.

How easy (expensive) is it to commision small scale high speed tests like this now removed informal one?

Link doesn't work for me.
Edit: Looks like the entire dtic.mil site is down. I assume the link will probably work when it's back up.
Edit: I can access it through a proxy. Strange.

Strange, it lets me access a cached version of that link but, unsurprisingly, there isn't a cached version for David's link.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote: Works for me, could it be a kiwi problem? I think someone at some point in this video might have used the phrase "world's most powerful potato gun".

Based on a muzzle energy estimate it could be a close one.
Well, if the potato actually survived that is.
By the way, if you were looking for a way to spread vera around, getting FPSrussia to come over would probably be about as much publicity as you're ever going to get.

I can't bear to watch his videos because of the forced accent.
