Hey everyone!

I come to you of the new on pac's Auto!

This one has actually advanced both dressing as electronics!

I. The physical appearance:
First we start with the physical aspect of the beast:
The ultimate goal is to have something that is closest possible to the modeling done by me:

Image

Currently I'm here:

Image

This is a good start, but I still have a lot of work!

A little insight into the control interface:
Image

II. The electronic part:
The electronics will be on two Breadboards

As for "bridges", they are made here with "straps", Ø0.5mm wire and bent using a small needle nose pliers

Now with the LCD and the 16 × 2caractères Arduino Uno:

III. Components and their functions:
Level electrical components is simple:

-A rotary switch for the fire selector (Configuration, Security, Semi-Automatic, Automatic, Burst 3coups).

-A potentiometer for adjusting the brightness of the LCD.

-A potentiometer for adjusting the rate of fire.

-A potentiometer for adjusting the contrast of the LCD.

-A microswitch for triggering firing.

IV. The piston charger:
The piston charger was reviewed.
It is made from copper tubing and a brass tube Ø4 × 6mm. A nominal body Ø6 × 8mm and a ring Ø12mm.
Image

The guide is one of the piston tube Ø8× 10mm.
This one with a copper ring of Ø10 × 12mm which was machined to turn the poor so as to fit snugly in a nipple M / M 3/8 ":

And all in its external guide:

And of course, a video of the operation:

Hey thank you very much: D.
It makes me happy that you like me!

I still Beacoup working on it, but it progresses properly.
In the weeks following, I will dig into the wood (medium) and to the part of the canon.

This has renewed my strong interest in the Arduino. I love this so much. :D

Wow! I'm amazed by the metal work, as well as Arduino video. I think it would be funny if you could see everyones reaction when they watch that video. I looked like this.

@Mr.Tallahassee : Thank you;).
Yes with the arduino we can really do everything.

@jackssmirkingrevenge : Yes it is a promising project, I really care about, this is 2 years that I designed.
At first it was a commonplace and a quick exhaust valve pop off. But it was not good enough ...

After the passage with a distributor and a LCD with Arduino, I had to give him a look, I had to find a line that had enough room to put the plumbing and something aesthetic.

@CS :
Thank you very much for working with metal!
I am study to become a technician in industrial boilers.
And I am very miticuleux that it sagit parts staff.

Yes I guess my head that I would have done if some posted a video like this one 1/2years ago.

In any case it is really fun comments like yours!

MUST NOT FAP

Nice jumper wires you're got there - I can't believe I haven't bought a similar set yet

Please post detail of the valve - how is it acctuated ? by a solenoid I pressume?

Don't forget to post arduino code - I am sure it would be useful for similar projects

It is a pneumatic solenoid valve 3/2 bistable :

Regarding the Arduino code I'll post it when finished: D.

ohh I see your piston is just a blow forward bolt
It is a pneumatic solenoid valve 3/2 bistable :
is it really bistable? I am sure you meant monostable
can't think of any reason for using a bistable valve rather than monostable

once it's done consider contacting hackaday - I am sure they'd love to feature it

ohh and you might as well post it on arduino forum

though I am not sure if that (spudgun) is OK with french law and whether you want publicity

Sorry, but I'm French and I do not quite understand the first sentence and the third ...

If a true bilingual would give his help, shook it nice to share it.

The posting on the board Arduino, yes why not, but how is he going to be interpreted ?

I meant that you may consider posting it on hackaday.com

MrCrowley posted his hybrid there -> http://hackaday.com/2012/03/13/the-spud ... spud-guns/

yes why not, but how is he going to be interpreted
I might ask some mods if they are ok with it... I don't think that would be a problem

Ah yes, I visualize what it is "hackday".
Pleasure in this case!

I'll see it one evening, right now, I may not have time to do all this ...

You advise me to do a resume, or any details?
