Haven't tested it very extensively but no doubt that they are holding up to the pressure very well. 22LR from a long barrel isn't putting that much pressure on muzzle exit anyway, have a look at this:Zeus wrote:How well are the plastic baffles holding up to the .22lrs? As such I'm not concerned about the baffles blowing out. What is worrying me is the heat, delrin has a maximum working pressure of around 150 degrees - but I stressed that this is not suitable for rapid fire, and in practice they will be used mostly for single shots, not a day at the range. I was pondering those couplings, the biggest issue really is the thread cutting. I would be forced to use the sherline thread cutting attachment, which is a wonderful bit of kit but a pain in the arse to set up, the time consumed would have added considerably to the price.Zeus wrote:Perhaps consider selling something like this with the suppressor, if your skill permits. I also nearly bought a coupling that uses the front sight as a lug, I think it was going fairly cheap, but I've had to move the rifle on, and the next one will already be threaded to 1/2-20tpi.
Barrel bush
The interchangeable bush at the rear of the Reflex Suppressor is Delrin for hunting rifles, or brass for military weapons (so it won't melt with sustained full-auto fire). The bush must be bored on a lathe to the correct size to fit each individual barrel.
