how to make a silencer

my gun is really loud and i need to make a silencer i have some ideas but i need some more info some one help

Not that hard. Take a pipe, that you can fit on the nozzle of your barrel. Make sure it is of the same caliber as the barrel, otherwise to much gas will escape, still makeing a "bang"

In that pipe, you make lots of holes, not to large, not to small. Around the pipe with the holes, you put an even bigger pipe, like at least twice as big. The space between the pipes you fill with cloth or steelwool. Seal it with wooden dishes or whatever.

In a other topic some of the guys here tested his silencer like this, and next with some holes in the outer pipe. The silencer with the holes in the outer pipe wordk betrher he said.

So after all, making the silencer is the easiest part of a gun

Even simply porting the barrel can silence a cannon alot, 4 rows of 6 inch linear porting on mine works awesome

if your in america remeber to call it a "barrel extenstion" cause a silencers are illegal (well ones that lower the noise by 2db or more)

Since they are illegal they make your potato cannon a destructive device (which is illegal) just like shooting flaming ammo would.

Just to share some ideas, ill throw my views on the issue:
-If one were to shoot ones gun in a illegal manner, then one was caught with a silencer attached. Id think the silencer to act as a double-whammy. Sure one could battle out the legality by whipping out all these laws you found from all your spudding buddies. But seeing as it is rare that one would be able to or willing to wage a investigation over if once can attach a 'silencer' to ones PVC cannon. So most likely what would happen is one gets some community service and a ride home. Ones parents would be very mad, and thankful of Mr. Police Officer. Lets not fantaize that were going to wage some "your wrong, and im right" with the police.

-So as along as one uses there gun in a safe, non-disturbing, etc way, I see no problem with or without a silencer. For example if spud guns were made illegal tomorrow, id still make them. Id still be safe with them, therefore understanding the intent of the law. Simple as that.

depends on where you live. the laws differ from calling spud cannons wepons and silencers on them are illegal to silencers are illegal...

Internally silenced spudgun should be legal. Since the silencer can't be removed because it IS the gun.
