Hi all, recently I thought to make a video on how I recharge my "non rechargeable batteries". Normal Ni MH or NiCd battery packs are expensive and can be ruined by mistakes.

I generally find this is a quick way for your budget to destroy your valuable flashlight or other device such as a digital camera. The risk of a battery leak is very high.

If there isn't internal pressure, it wont leak. The battery can take quite a lot of it before that happens. I've done it with like a dozen batteries. After many hours of work, I've had only two leaks in my camera, one of them intentional, because I had leaked batteries but needed to record. The other I putted already quite expanded battery. In my tutorial I'm saying no to do like me, although my camera works fine, and yes electrolyte had the opportunity to pass near the electronics.

It isn't the pressure. It's the chemical reaction that consumes the metal. Once it's full of holes, it leaks.

Recharging does not replace the missing metal. It removes the oxide coating that increases the resistance reducing current output. After recharging, the remaining metal is eaten through.

"Batteries now draw their power from the use of steel, zinc and manganese. According to the Duracell site,"

Take apart a new battery and an old one.

This is not the case with alkaline batteries. They use up their zinc paste and noting corrodes the metal case. I haven't seen a single alkaline battery with corroded case.

A friend insisted heavily that I use voice program, that makes voice from text. I recorded it like 30 times, I took the most listenable version. I went to american English club to improve my English but there were no foreigners and they made talking in English awkward :crybaby: I need to record voice separately, but the main board gives distortions, and I can't get good noise cancelling environment and good mic anyway :crybaby:
