i'm using a threaded end cap on my metered propane gun. It is leaking pressure when i dump the propane into the chamber. Tightening the cap helps, but doesnt solve the problem. Would a new cap possibly fix this issue? or should I start over and use a ball valve instead. I've seen lots of propane guns that use threaded end caps that seem to work fine... what am i missing?
they probably make the cap crappy try adding some teflon tape (used on threads to prevent leaks.) to it that should work.
i had the same problem so i just added some teflon tape and now its so air tight i wouldnt be able to load it with the end cap on lol.

How does the tape stand up to multiple shots?
pretty good its stood up to about 60 or so shots for me and i dont see any real signs of wear or tear on it.

cool, I'll give it a try. I think my problem was that i might have tried to clean up the threads a little too agressively... I'll try the tape, thanks a lot.
No problem always glad to help
