yes, a longer barrel will make it quieter, but not nessisarly give u more power. if u make the barrel to long u could screw up ur C:B ratio. and if u make it to long then the potato can acctually shoot back into the chamber because of the vaccum it makes behind itself as its being fired, like what happended to burntlake in his C:B testings.
i got connections with the modfia, watch who ur talkin to noob.

add fluteing at the end of ure barrel that should take the boom away from it
1) find a pipe into which your barrel fits perfectly. you will need about six inches.
2) cut a few( 7-8) 1/4 inch long pieces of the tip of your barrel.
3) put (glue) these rings into the other pipeat 1/4 inch intervals
4) use the remaining 2 inches of pipe to attach to your barrel
This is the same idea as military silencers...
IMPROVEMENTS:
- wrap in rubberbands( reduces vibration afterwards)
- use a cross shaped pvc connector (after silencer) on the end to redirect sound sideways
- make a 4 pronged barrel tip after silencer
-SHOOT YOUR GUN SOMEWHERE ELSE SMARTS, YOU WONT GET CAUGHT IF NOONE HEARS IT...

The baffle-type suppressor ABCDEFG details the construction of won't be effective; it's volume will be too small.
Sorry that I can't give you advice beyond "bigger"...
