Cell phones and driving
hey, I just thought I would share my misfortune with you guys and a little insight. I was coming home from school today with my dad. We were leaving a stop light just after it turned green when some idiot came from the perpindicular direction and ran his ford svt focus through the red light and plowed into my dads lexus at 50mph hitting the rear quarter panel. We spun and hit a car stopped at the light in the oposite direction. I'm very lucky to be able to be writing this right now and it really opened my eyes to how dumb it can be to talk on the phone while driving. Just thought I'd share.

Yes, popular science has proved it too. In paying attention to the converation taking place in your hand, you lose concentration while driving. I'm pretty sure it's because the brain can't muli-task, so there is a small lapse as the brain switched tasks (i.e. talking and driving)schmanman wrote:yeah the mythbusters proved it.
EDIT: wow, 666 posts. that's weird.

The only benefit they said was you can always put down the cell phone incase of emergency(if you have time) but you can't just stop being drunk. But yeah it is pretty bad you should just wait until your off the road to talk to someone.
