If you can just get some potassium nitrate. You can make smoke bombs with them, but you can also make gunpowder and rocket engines. The smoke bombs are pretty cool. I put one in a tennis ball and it came bursting out and flew about 30 feet. When you have a big one a pinkish red flame comes off of it. It sort of looks like a flare.

you'd have glass shrapnel... (thats not a good thing)

My uncle told me about how he and his friend used to make gas bombs using welding fuel and oxygen. They filled up huge black garbage bags with the mix, and then set them adrift in the water at some abandoned beach. In ten ft of water they displaced it to the bottom... YOU could SEE the bottom!
When it was like 100ft away, it the shock sprayed rocks in their faces.........
DONT TRY IT>>>>>>>>IM NOT RESPONSIBLE
You will be put in jail.
They found about these people on the news who had one blow up in their car, and the car was demolished, and the people had to be identified by their DENTAL records. DONT try it. BTW my uncle had like 15 in his friends car........ JUST DONT DO IT.
SCARY.
BTW, they stopped after they saw that news report.

totse is made by a bunch of teens who don't really have any concern about safety, I wouldn't trust that source.frankrede wrote:Totse.com is the best ste to go next to spudfiles and myspace.
It's funny, on my local news they were makeing a big deal out of somekids that were setting of bottle bombs on the street like it was almost an act of terrorism. The funny thing is they didn't want to give away the contents of the bottle but I knew exactly what it was because they mentioned hydrochloric acid!

ammosmoke knows quite a few people who are prone to extream exadurations.
The last accidental gas explosion in a car I heard of mearly burst the occupant's eardrums, IIRC - and even 140 psi overpressure isn't nearly enough to seriously mangle a human. (althoug it'll probably kill them)
The car was mangled - but it was mostly sheet metal damage (and window blowouts), and would probably be drivable.
As to the "displace water 10' deep" bit... no.
.5 kilograms of explosives - in the water to maximize energy transfer - doesn't come close....

Yeah totse is a good site but you really can't trust anything on there. Just make a draino or dry ice bomb. They are super loud and you can get the stuff for them anywhere.
totse is mainly run down now but is regaining its feet, and has lost most of their vets... If you want to learn a bit try apcforum.net. It has quite a bit, but it might be a bit confusing if you know nothing of pyrotechnics. I myself also live in australia, getting KNO3 and what not, is not very difficult at all
