thats, erm impressive lol. man, i want to build a valve like that (jealousy). is it basically a supah valve that you sorta made yourself? or is it a barrel sealing piston valve?

Well I finally got around to testing this valve a bit more accurately for you guys.
Since I do not have a chrony, Boomer and I built a box for eqully-spaced (3") plywood sheets to be slid into. We designed it to hold up to 8 wood sheets 1 foot wide and 14 inches tall and up to 3/4" thick. The test we did tonight was with 3/8" standard plywood.
The launcher used 120 psi in a 3' chamber 4" in diameter and a 5' SDR 21 barrel. We tried two pilot setups which did not change the performance of the valve noticably. The first was a 1/4" ball valve with male quick-disconnect on it. The second was a 3/4" QEV with that same ball valve and QD. Both times, the ball punched through 4 sheets and left a very nice dent in the 5th. That's 1.5 inches of plywood. There's one fast golf ball for ya.
And here it is, so you can see it for yourself, both tests.

I'll have more later using luaun sheets for more accurate comparisons between pilots. I'll also have it up against a Supah. I am very curious to see how they act side by side.

Very nice, I must say. I can't wait to see this things performance against a supah valve. Then we'll know for a fact if chamber sealing or barrel sealing are better, since I'm assuming your valve is made with similar quality to that of a supah. As to your chrony situation, I suggest you go to your local paintball field/store. They usually have a chrony set up there and you could as them if you could use it to test your different valves.
Damn, I thought my poorly made valve was decent then yours comes up again... Still very nice and if you set up a money order type dealy I'll be calling one of your valves mine.
Good job.
Good job.
