1 thing i have noticed with spud guns is they have flat end caps the part of the end cap that is in the chamber should be roundedlike in nascar race angines they have rounded cylinder heads
so the combustion chamber should sort of be oval

As I understand it, that "domed end" makes it a hemi. And as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemi_engine">someone else</a> under stands it, hemis are better because they mix the gasses better (won't help things here - it almost certainly requires higher "R"PMs that we use to affect it at all, and we have chamber fans anyway) and have more centered sparkplugs - alowing for quicker combustion. (Not the solution for us - we can center our ignition scources, or even have multiple ignition scources, without too much trouble.)
the main reason a hemi works well is because explosions are in sphere shapes a rounded combustion chamber would mean the explosion makes use of every part of the combustion chamber usualy the corners of the combustion chamber do nothing but trap gassesthat could be used

hmm sounds like it could work but then again it doesn't. but the trapped gasses do sound like an up for ur part spud.
