That's total bullshit. Although it's true that more metal bands scream than those that don't but that's not entirely true. Check out Opeth and Metallica... screaming? I think not.

And Greedday is the shittiest music i've heard, jamming out with the same 4 power chords in each song, along with taking the "Bash Bush" side just because it's the "cool" thing to do.

Ok. Everyone has different views for music and I cant say your view is wrong. I like what I like and everyone else likes what they like and no one is wrong. Thats just what i think of Heavy metal.

That's what i think of Greenday. :P

But I can't say they have no talent at all, I mean, they do sell out stadiums.

I think I'm too defensive about my music, people say I'm obsessive over it.

No Hank Williams? No Buck Owens? No Marvin Gaye? No Barry White?

Only kidding though I love that type of music. I'm glad to see alot of the good punk bands are still popular. Try the NY Dolls or Rumford. Rancid is incredible but kind of sold out around the early 90s. The Killers are fun, the Hives are awesome.

Another short list...
Kool and the Gang - Jungle Boogie
Hey Porter - Johnny Cash
You've Lost That Loving Feeling - Righteous Brothers
Bobby Brown - Frank Zappa

As Cletus Maggart put it: “Johnny Cash and all that good trash”
I like the classics: Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton, Hank Williams, C.W. McCall, Elvis, Bluegrass, country, some rock, country gospel, oh and Weird Al.
Rap is pointless, you can’t understand heavy metal, and it’s very annoying when the neighbors play the lot of it at 2 hundred hours. (2 in the morning)
Some of my favorites are:
Ring of fire - J. Cash
I saw the light - Hank Williams
Convoy – C.W. McCall
Jim Brigert(sp) - Johnny Horton
Bonaparte’s retreat - ?????????
The list goes on, thought for everybody else’s sake I’d stop at five.

There we go... Good to see another Outlaw fan....

Favorites... Pretty Tough Call
Johnny Cash - Cocaine Blues or Kate
David Allen Coe - The Ride
Willie Nelson - Stay All Night
Waylon Jennings - Yellow Haired Woman
Buck Owens - Memphis
Bob Wills - Pokey

And a bit more obscure and not country..
Tom Waits - Anywhere I Lay My Head or Franks' Wild Years
Dr. Hook - The Millionaire

I'm fucking amazed that people actually like Green Day still, they were ok in the begining and then went all emo and trying to be Rage Against The Machine but oh so much more obvious, they sell out stadiums for the same boy bands and that shitty music do, they sell out themselves and have music written for them that will just simply make them more money. I hate absolutely HATE new Metallica, they to sold out and caved to the money. Arctic Monkeys blows so hard it's not even funny. I hate rap, I don't even listen to the artists from New Orleans(which happens to be my home, well was), my taste in music is pretty much all mine, to be broad its Metal, Horrorcore, Trance, and Rock(new and old rock just not all of it is in my library because it's in my cd case that has been in my friends care for a few months. Here is a list of every band that is in my library, it's about three weeks old so a few may be missing, also it was copied from my Myspace hence the 'Greater Than" sign in place of spaces.

squishy, 1st where did you get your sig, who is it quoting, and drac, i like lots of different metal, from the really soft stuff such as korn, to metallica, to the heaver stuff like cryptopsy(although only several songs) i like a couple songs by greenday, just becasue of the tune, holiday, welcome to paridise. ill listen to some 50 cent on occasion, and you need to have a little stoner music to fit the theme, red hot chilli peppers, (californication) and so pink floyd just for those special occasions when i sit and stare at the windos media player swirly thing for four hours straight. and of course the classics, guns and roses, ac/dc, and some johnny cash on occasion. i really have some spread out taste when it comes to music.
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

My sig is the opening lines from Lamb Of God's Omerta, one of my favorite songs from that oh so bad ass band.

Thank you BC Pneumatics. Classic rock is great. Easily my favorite type of music. I actually have a really wide taste of music, which constantly changes. Three years ago (which was right when I started getting into music), I only liked popular heavy metal songs. My taste in music has changed since. Some of my favorite bands:

Aerosmith
The Allman Brothers
The Beatles
Billy Joel
Black Sabbath
Blue Oyster Cult
Bob Dylan
Boston
The Clash
Coldplay
Cream
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young
David Bowie
Deep Purple
The Doors
The Eagles
Eminem
Eric Clapton
Foreigner
Gorillaz
Grateful Dead
Guster
Jimi Hendrix
Journey
Kansas
Led Zeppelin
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Matisyahu
Modest Mouse
Neil Young
Nirvana
Phish
Pink Floyd
Queen
R.E.M.
The Ramones
Red Hot Chili Peppers
REO Speedwagon
The Rolling Stones
Rush
The Shins
Simon and Garfunkel
The Smashing Pumpkins
Talking Heads
Warren Zevon
The Who
Many others which I don't feel like typing

The more you listen to new types of music, the more you will either gain an appreciation for them/despise them. Six months ago, I couldn't stand the slow pace of simon and garfunkel; now, I listen to their music a lot[/b]
