This is my first cannon. It's a 4x12" Sch40-PW PVC chamber, 4x2" ABS reducer, short section of 2" Sch40-PW PVC, 2" Sch40-42 female threaded adapter, a 4" Sch40-PW female adapter and a 4" Sch40-PW (yes, pressure rated) clean out plug. Of course I can't forget the shell made of 6" Sch40-PW pipe and end caps. After I had glued together the initial chamber I found out from Spudtech forum members that even thought I used transition glue the reducer has a high probability of separating from the chamber. So I built the shell. I machined the end plugs to have nice holes in them and proceeded to glue the shell together with the chamber. I then filled it with expanding foam in hopes of containing chamber failure. I later had to cut the huge gaping hole you see because of a design fault. 2 disposable cameras through an ignition coil had sufficient voltage to jump through wire insulation and 1" of foam, but I suspect a bubble formed around the wires leaving only some kind of gas between them. So I cut out the hole with the intent of building an ignition system into it and placing a piece of Lexan over the hole. Before this happened I decided I wanted multiple sparks, a stun gun and propane ignition, so I proceeded to build STAG2.

yeah very nice, it looks really safe, i rapped my guns chamber in a whole roll of duct tap(on sale for $2.00) because my parents are really safety conscious and if they saw it break i doubt they would let me make another one.

It has been shown that duct tape accomplishes nothing. However, if they think it will help, just smile and nod...
please tell me that was a joke, or maybe you are a pneumatic uset who never tried combustion, but if your just a noob, please have some background knowledge you know.bubblebathman wrote:wow nice pieace off work... psssst did i say my line right O ur on well um hahahahaha nice pieace of crap o and y u have exposed srews in the barrel

i like the idea of extra safety and everything but honestly it seems like a bunch off extra work that would make this harder to adjust and change to your cannon later on. as long as your useing sch40pvc i wouldnt say its all that necisary unless your useing something like nitrocellulous for fuel...
