The question about the crappy little car compressor:
No, they don't work. I have 3 similar ones (yes, three) and hooking them all up together still doesn't work.
And a 3" chamber? Damn, you talking BBs or marbles? You'd have to have a HUGE compressor to be able to use a 3" chamber well.

No not really. A cloud needs a pretty good continous air supply. I have a 2gallon compressor and it doesn't keep up with it very well. You would have to fill up a tank or something to hold a lot of air.

I asked because I was going to be scrapping a piece of 3'' pipe with an end cap on it. So even is I made a little chamber like this to hold air, it wouldn't be strong enough?

Check this out:
This guy built an airsoft cloud BBMG powered by a CO2 setup in a backpack.
I'm sure it was an expensive project. Probably as high as $300-400, depending on where you live. But damn, it'd be awesome to have one.
