I've always liked DURA fittings and I knew that's what they carried. I was dissappointed this time I guess.

And the fittings from sprinkler.com are filthy dirty as I just found out.
I ordered a pipe cap and it looks like some guy shit in it and then sent it to me. Everything was just covered in dirt and dust.

try this, order new stuff AND use the one you bought.

its most likely safe because even though the knit lines are visible on the outside, the plastic is still one solid piece. How deep do the knit lines go? im guessing they are only a few thousandths of an inch judging by the picture. In the close up that shows the flashing on the seam, you can hardly see the knit lines. Do the knit lines extend to all three slip connections on the tee? Or do they fill out somewhere in the middle of the tee? The middle of the tee is the thickest part and is also the hardest part to fill inside the mold. IF the knit lines go to all ends of the tee, and go on the inside of the tee then i wouldnt reccomend using it. In that case the ends of the tee would show signs of non-fill.

Oh, by the way, I give ya a thumbs up for keeping safety as your #1 concern. Lots of people would overlook this little defect and rush the production of their cannon. Good job dude

Yes they branch out to each socket all they way to the end and are visible inside and out. When I look at the tee toward the socket as though as I was looking through it, I can see the lines crossing the wall.

If you can when you order them you might be able to call first and ask them is they can send you the brand you want?

Return the tee, call up their customer service and bitch about the bad processing quality of a fitting that should be pressure rated. Dont tell them that you are using this for compressed air though. Also try to get them to pay for the shipping cost to ship it back to them cause its bullshit to pay shipping for a tee that is faulty.

PM me if you want some more advice on bitching them out, shit i'd almost call em for ya haha!

Well, all the "defective" fittings from sprinkler.com were sent back and I got new ones today from McMaster.

Sadly, those too have these "knit lines" except far worse. Over all, the quality of the DURA fittings I originally had was far better than the new ones. Yet again I'll be returning them and getting back the ones I had.

This whole project has pissed me off far too much and I'm sick of it. I've come all this way and two damn parts have stalled me for me a two months. I can build anything till after the holdidays. I'm debating whether or not to return the whole damn lot while I'm at it. Not my day today, but then again, when is it my day?

I bought a tap and hole saw. I bored out both tees and all was well. Then I decide to bore out the 2" inlet on one tees for a deeper socket and fucked the whole thing over.

Project is over. This just hit my last nerve.

Oh :( ... I was hoping to see the amazing, mind blowing, spudgun of all times be completed. You could always keep the parts and sometime in the future when you get over it you could order another tee and build it :) .

well... maybe when I'm in a better mood someday I'll continue. All that I've spent so far can't possibly go to waste.

kick back and look at the project for awhile. It can only get better from here. Was it the 4 way tee you fubared. If so couldn't you turm it and use it the other way?

It was the reducing tee. I was deepening the socket that would be for the barrel support but the hole saw went in crooked. Now when you put the pipe in it wobbles like crazy and would never glue right.

I'm going to get another one after the holidays. No places are open right now.
