the cannon. sorry the pic's crappy. If you look close, you can see the barrel goes from one side of the picture from the other. I will get a video of it shooting a dirtbike motor tomorrow. oh, the white barrel laying next to it is a 10 foot long, 1 1/2" diameter one, just to put the 20' one to scale. I am getting another 3-4 foot long section of the pipe so i can sharpen he front, and make a muzzle knife.

The box that triggers it all.

a video of it, shooting 1 1/4 inch fiberboard counter top at 25 psi with a potato, and the 20' long aluminum barrel.

well, I have taken it up that high a couple times, and it is incredibly loud. It is almost no good for shooting distance at those pressures, because you only find your ammo 20% of the time. and you cannot See it while it's in the air. I will take a vid of it shooting something at 100 psi in the spring, for you. :D

You really need to try for a mile. Something light and aerodynamic might be able to do it.

I know I could do it, but I would not be able to find the ammo afterwards. :D

I have the space, though. 8)

I've shot 1000 yards as it is, and there are 1760 yards in a mile, so I will go for it with a 6-ish inch long, thin wall aluminum rocket with a slightly weighted nose cone, and sprial tailfins (flexible) to increase stability and range. it will be strong and light. I will film it, but I will not take the swat up past 40 psi in the winter. 100 psi should put it at a mile, and if It doesn't, than I will add 15 feet onto the barrel temporarily. 100 psi, a big piston valve, 10 feet of 6" airchamber, and 35 feet of 2" barrel should shoot about a mile, wouldn't you say?  :D

wow, I used those Emoticons a couple too many times there.

If you made a couple of modifications you could use dual piston valves

Hey I just ran the thing though the GGDT, guessed at the valve, but it said that you’re about 200FPS away from the sound barrier, maybe you should try and brake that…never mind according to the GGDT if you use a 1oz. projectile you’ll shatter the sound barrier. But I may be stating the obvious… have you broke the sound barrier? Will you try?? Am I as crazy as I sound???

Yeah I might say that... 2280 more feet than you have so far just think in feet
1000 yards is 3000 feet and there are 5280 feet in a mile so 5280 - 3000 = 2280  .
EDIT: Your very crazy, now let the nice men in white coats take you away.

I have broke the sound barrier with paintballs. how many psi did you put in to ggdt?

oh, bluetooth, thanks. I take pride in my INSANITY! :D

killa, instead of adding another piston valve, I am going to increase porting to 3". should blow the crap out of stuff even better * laughs insanely, falls out of chair*

I put in 100PSI. but a mile isn’t impossible, it’ll just take some modification, like another valve, and two more pressure chambers…. Basically double the gun. Then you’d be pushing two miles
