I just got my first sprinkler vavle for my birthday and i tried blowing into it and it wont hold air
is that a problem?? If so how can i fix it? If not whay does it do this??

no, not a problem... yyou just can't generate enough pressure (you probebly can get 1/2 psi)

Your lungs can produce about 5 psi, at least 20 is required for the valve to equalize and seal.

thats surprises me because I cant imagine blowing a 3 lb thing into the air.

I kinda agree about that noname :lol: ! Where did you get the idea that it means you could blow a three pound object into the air??? With a pneumatic pumped to 100 psi could you shoot a 100 pound person into the air? No.

I geuss I could move it an inch in the air if the weights were on a frictionless 1x1 square piston that I was blowing into.

ok, this is how I'm imagining it... a one inch pipe with a one inch metal rod that weighs 3 lb in it. I can't imagine blowing into it and haveing the rod lift.

Psi and pounds are completely different. Pounds per square inch refers to the weight on each square inch of something. If you inflate your lungs all the way and keep breathing in more and more air little by little, the air in your lungs can be compressed up to around 5 psi. This does not in any way mean you can blow a 5 pound object into the air.
