with a 35 foot long barrel, and the air chambers I have, I think a mile is possible.

judgment_arms wrote:Hey I just ran the thing though the GGDT, guessed at the valve, but it said that you’re about 200FPS away from the sound barrier, maybe you should try and brake that…never mind according to the GGDT if you use a 1oz. projectile you’ll shatter the sound barrier. But I may be stating the obvious… have you broke the sound barrier? Will you try??Am I as crazy as I sound???
I MAY BE CRAZY BUT I AIN’T DUMB!!!!!!!!!! Where’s your plans for an automatic cannon???? Besides, the guys in the white coats left after reading the sign at the end of a the driveway “NO TRESPASSING, violators will be shot, survivors will be shot again”...

I found out that this bike pump chamber I have fits perfectly in a 1.5'' sch. 40 barrel. With some duct tape, you may be able to put one in a 2'' barrel. Unless, of course, you put a marble barrel on that gun.

If your getting chased off a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel then onto a small see-saw then through a ring of fire. They are trained for that!

a marble barrel? hmmm, it's a thought. cheap, and powerful. 50 feet should do the trick.

and a piston to actuate a piston to actuate a piston to actuate a piston...

see how it just carries on? it probably wouldn't be worth it, a sprinkler valve does just fine, 2-3 fps won't make a difference.

and im surprised ive never looked at this gun before, all i have to say is... AMAZING!

How about a big 6inch pumpkin barrel? Or a .17cal barrel, that seems to be the trend among most shooters, smaller bullet, higher velocity, less knock down force…sorry got off subject… the bigger the barrel diameter the more efficient the cannon is, so go for a big six incher.

Before we continue this discussion on breaking the sound barrier, can someone tell me the parameters they used in GGDT when filling out the specifications for this cannon?

this thread never dies.... not that I mind.

the chambers are 10' of 6" pipe, with a 20' long 2" barrel, and I am willing to take it up to 100 psi (while standing at quite a distance, mind you. I really really want a chrony.
