Holy crap that's awesome! Looks a little like a copper pneumatic... just without the copper. How accurate can you get with those marbles?
Find a local community college. Almost all of em have some sort of course you can take, (not even to get a degree or anything, just to take a class so you know how), to learn how to weld. A few night classes and you'll be ready to rock and roll. 8)rmich732 wrote:
This is kind of offtopic, but where/how did you learn to weld? I am considering learning, and do not really know where to start to gather some information
dunno yet the first so called "SUCESSFULL" shot was an accident and implanted the marble in my hand! people read before you write!

Very nice cannon indeed! What is the lowest rated fitting on it? (It would be then handle I'd assume)
Sadly, I had to vote 'not awesome', since this wonderful piece of work did not leave me in awe. I wish there had been a 'seriously kick ass' option.

Just a moment - am I getting this right?
You actually had it loaded and pressurised when you were conducting work on it, and performing a test?
Jesus - I'm surprised you didn't mess yourself up ten times worse...
Aside from that - I like it a lot, and can barely wait to see it minus the tape.

Novacastrian: How about use whatever the heck you can get your hands on?
frankrede: Well then I guess it won't matter when you decide to drink bleach because your out of kool-aid.
...I'm sorry, but that made my year.

We need a section for metal cannons round here.
Metal rifle designs look so much better than plastic
It looks nicely laid out and well made too. I've got to get myself a scope like that. Its a bugger sighting down polished pipe, the end seems to vanish.
You can have a "Right Muppet Award" for testing for leaks with a loaded cannon and for then shooting yourself though.
Mine is probably about the same size and I dumped it in the bath with a few inches of water to check for leaks (and found too many). A pond works fine too if its not too far.
Ps. You have a 3000psi rated pressure hose and blowgun eh?

Nice gun. How many PSI do you shoot it at?
Even the greatest of whales is helpless in the middle of the desert.
Well that looks like a CO2 cylinder stock with a concealed regulator feeding the air chamber but theres not enough visible mechanism to see the air dumping method. Bolt action too.
The question is, whats it doing here?

the better pics have too many mb to send
20 oz off/on paint ball bottle 1/2" ball valve up to rifled 18mm bbl
bolt action breech load. shoots 2.5oz lead bullets @550-650 fps
depending on temp.
load, cock (to the off position) the spring loaded ball valve, charge the chamber between the bottle and the ball (only 6-8 gm of liquid co2 )
turn off tank, shoot!
shoots 5/8 dowell shafts (spears), heavy 18mm bullets, cyl. steel cookie
cutter type, and most fun are: reversed 12ga polywads.
the reversed wad screames out for 40 feet or so then drop quickley to the ground at no more than 100 feet, and reusable
many picts of this prototype and penetration in wood, but too large to send
the bolt has been totally revised in the finished and powdercoated gun.

Um.... why don't you make a new thread for it?
It won't be noticed as much pinned in someone elses thread
