Okay, here's the scoop.

I wanted to build another pneumatic, and I wanted it to look downright mean. I wanted something with switches and wires, large diameter pipe yet portable. I wasn't so much concerned with squeezing every potential bit of energy from it, although I did want it to shoot. So here is what I came up with.

Chamber - 4"x26" (appx 327ci)
Barrel - 1.5"x30"
Electronic Solenoid Valve - 1"
Triple Safety Trigger System
No Pressure Gauge
Ammo - PVC Rockets

Yes, yes, I know modifying the sprinkler would yield better results, but again, I was going for overall coolness.

I don't have any damage pics or video yet, it's too darn cold here, but the thing shoots like a beast. I will be putting together something visual in a month or so, once the weather warms a little. For now, here's some pics. Enjoy! -Lp

Edit: I figured I'd share the PVC rockets also. 1" pvc caps reduced to 1/2", filled with cement. I used my 1/2" drill and my dremel kind of like a lathe and got the caps to slide in the barrel just right. I thought cutting the tail like that would give 'em a little spin, but I don't think it serves much purpose other than reducing weight in the tail. They do fly super straight though! :D

Very cool gun, if I must say so myself. Nice paintjob, handles, triggers, pretty much everything.

Very nicely made cannon. I like it when fiddly things like wires and switches are concealed.

I'd disagree with the HUGE chamber:barrel ratio though, its kinda excessive and doesn't really pay off.

IT does look very nicely made. I have used that trigger design before, with two buttons and an on/off switch ( I am assuming we got it from the same gun).

But I do agree with Hotwired; the C:B ratio is crazy. Its above 6:1. You generally want to keep it around 2:1

Yeah, I know and agree also. I wanted it to look 'beefy' but not too big, hence the ratio. The barrel does screw on, so I guess I could ultimately add something later. Heck, I probably should've used 2" for the barrel. I was able to pierce 3/4" plywood with a d-cell battery at 30' using 90psi with the current setup. Thanks for all the comments.

Sweet gun. You completely pulled it off with the wes and switches. Good job and interchangable barrels would kickarse
