Wow, nice desk for being hand-built. What kind of wood and what finish did you use? You must be a reasonably talented carpenter.

That monitor is teeny, dude (no offense).

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Birch plywood- Polyurathane spray finish. the finish takes longer than the wood work. I've been a carpenter 30 yrs.

@Cod_Fillets:
That's megabit, not megabytes per second though. 8megabit = 1 megabyte. On a good day I get 26megabit down, or 3.25 megabytes per second. However, yes, that's still damn fast for a home office.

ISP's advertise in megabits but people think its megabytes per second - very common mistake. It's kind of false advertising. Comcast's ads say "6 megabytes per second!" but its actually 6 megabit which comes out to just under 1MBps actual download speed.

http://www.speedtest.net if you want to check your actual bandwidth. It gives you the numbers in megabits/kilobits, so divide by 8 to see megabytes/kilobytes.

Wow! on the 30 years part.
NewEgg.com has a 19" widescreen for under $200 with shipping: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824009100
Can't beat it. Great screen for the money. NewEgg is a great company to buy from, too.
I didn't mean to insult your screen, lol, sorry. It just looks really small on that desk, and I commented.

Peace,

Spudfiles!!!!

My computer: AMD Athalon 64bit 3200+, 160gig Western Digital HD, 2gigs DDR2 RAM, Nvidia 7800+ 512MB videocard, Soundblaster Audigy 7.1 audio card (still waiting on my better speakers). and the hacky sack on top of the case.

The whole thing, with my 30w Behringer Amp, and 60w Tech 21 Bass amp under it.

Be warned, the images are gigantic.
